i’m back~ back back backkkkkkkkk. does baccarat sound like back? hmmm..

ah! so i ended up training with ojou on monday, also. and man did it go slow. i guess just sitting in the back and doing NOTHING at all would do that. but we discovered that los vaqueros next door sells these drinks. er.. i forget what it’s called. one is white and kinda milky and has cinnamon? in it. soooo yummy! they also have pineapple and melon ones. (i prefer fruit flavored ones~) and with a discount they give us, they’re only a dollar! we’re gonna drain their reserves. c; but by now, she’s worked one full day by herself. today’ll be her second, and it’s super exciting! she’s doing well.. after 6 days of training. v.v” i’m just a LITTLE jealous of that, because i was trained for 3 days (split up because of an ice storm for 2 days) i wanted more ‘cuz it was a little scary! taking care of a whole store by yourself, that is. 

but today (thursday) i’m filling in for shauna who’s filling in for the store in norman. they helped us the other day when i went to a funeral. (last tuesday) sooo i’m stuck here for 7 hours. i’m so used to my nice, short 5 hour shift. this is hard! > < i’m just now at 9 o’clock, making it a ‘normal day’ for me now. 5 more hours….. then ojou shows up. so for now i’m doing this and listening to the radio. i brought a movie, too. that ‘goodnight and goodluck’ movie. i looove it~!! but i’m gonna save that ’till i’m finished with this. i also brought some of my mangas, like 4, cuz i read ‘em too fast. ||shrug|| so let’s hope this day zooms along~

aight, so i took a two hour break. im tired @.@ and now i have a blanket on my shoulders. our air conditioner works a little too well… when summer was just starting it didn’t work at all. we turned it on and it went: ‘ur kidding right? ha! i blow semi-cool air on u. fuuuu~’ and then just stopped. apparently if freezes up if we leave it on over night. we baby the dumb thing. > > but now im cold! and its on 75! my dilemma is the front of the store actually feels comfortable. so when im working up there it’s nice, but when i’m back here, i freeze! jeeeees.

me 'working'

so begins this chronicle. a simple tale of innocence, defiled and broken. (havn’t i heard this somewhere? lols)

it’s not all that weird, really. working at a dry cleaner (drop off store) is pretty laid-back. if you’re quick enough at tagging clothes in, u can sit around and do whatever u want. for instance.. blogging. XD actually, today i’m doing the final day of ‘training’ with my friend that was hired. (for the sake of my fingers, i’ll call her ojou and ur just gonna have to remember it) i put training in quotes ‘cuz the final day entails… me sitting here doing anything BUT my job. she’s supposed to have it all down by now. (and she’s doing it well so far!) im getting paid for this crap, too~ <3 slow day, tho. on saturdays, the shift starts at 10 am and ends at 6 pm. so it’s a long day. and when it’s slow.. it drags ..on.. forever… (i die a little on days like this) it’s not so bad today because we’re both here, and we can bs back and forth. (and we’re gonna have lunch from next door: los vaqueros!) it’ll go fast. we only have.. 6 hours and 20 mins left. ah hah..

it’s surprising, what we have to deal with. our latest scandal was a comforter. (anticlimactic, huh?) they brought it back in about a week after they picked it up, claiming that we ruined it. (there were a couple rips on the outer shell) we informed them that they had signed a release and that we are not held responsible…. and that’s when it started. threats, suing us, ..tantrums. (haha) it turned into a whole ordeal with the company, because u cannot just threaten someone in our company. you threaten an employee, you threaten the company. (we’re protected) these people kept going on about how neither the wife nor husband signed the release and they were going to personally sue my manager for fraud and forgery. the best part is the couple insisted that this was  a high-dollar comforter, about $150 dollars. (expensive? yall are kidding right… thats almost average these days @.@) then we started looking at it.. it was a woven shell, where the pattern was printed on afterwards. then looking at the rips, u could see the filling was just cotton batting. just looking at this thing you could tell it was from somewhere cheap like dollar general or walmart. (and the latter is pushing it) for a day or so it got a little tense. the husband had known information on my manager he shouldn’t of been able to know. it was to the point that if he came in i would have gotten to call the police! (which i was disappointed he didn’t) instead, yesterday his wife came by to pick it up. she was a harsh looking woman, omg. it all ended in mystery and.. i didn’t get to call the police. ||pout|| the best part is, peggy tagged this one in. and, oh, let me get started on this. 

peggy was the woman working here before i got here. i should have know it would all end badly with her. even before i was hired, she told my manager (and customers!) that if anyone else was hired, she would quit. well i came and she never did so we thought nothing of it. (perhaps she was just a little pms-y that day) and time went on and we became friends. i covered for her so she could go see her kids in texas, and she was going to owe me for the izumi-con in november. once, i needed a day off for a con meeting but she couldn’t come in because she was taking her mother to the doctor. it was cool, i could miss and be fine. it wasn’t until a week or so ago when she calls the night after she works and quits. she had a better job available at a casino. (man we were glad for even an evenings warning) she left, it was sad blah blah blah. then her sister comes by. and then we find out it was ALL a lie. she lives with her mother, but does not take care of her. she has kids, but they do not live in texas, they live in some small town in oklahoma and she does not see them. her horrible boyfriend would come to the store and drink beer in the back. it’s always nice to find out that everything you knew about a friend is a lie. a stab in the back, bigger than all get out! she betrayed us and then has the nerve to come get her paycheck and say that her sister is completely lying. well how do we know? could u just be lying to us again!? jees. this one kinda hurt. 

but from what i’ve heard from shauna, (my manager) some have been worse. some who worked here didn’t even call to say they were quitting, the just never showed up. one guy took his entire nights worth of money and walked out the door (not to come back). our turnover rate is so bad for some reason. in the past 2 years we’ve had 7 employees! (and when only 3 are hired here at a time, and only one person works the store, thats extreme) that’s why i think i’m going to stay for a while. we need a steady person. (and it pays decently enough, with a schedule that conforms to my school schedule) i hope ojou stays, too! i love having a REAL friend working with me. jees. 

right now our drama level is pretty low. maybe a 3 at most. (on the dram-a-meter? lols) 

i’ll update later as the story continues.

ahhhhh, hello there, e-world~! it’s wonderful to see you, again! ………….ah hah… pleasantries over, let’s start. 

sup, i’m tonya. call me seme or whatever u feel like. i’m starting this for no particular reason, perhaps just to have an excuse to be on the internet all the time. (im an addict, i admit it c:) so… i forget what u do on these things. talk ’bout stuff right? ok… perhaps i can talk about some stuff that’s been going on with me recently. that’ll work, ne? lols

well, just the other day my friend got hired where i work. (that makes a total of three people working XD) we both now work at the best cleaners in south oklahoma city. we’re only a drop-off store, that’s why there’s only three people. but ojou (my friend) is doing really well! she’s fast at learning and is willing to work hard. i’m so glad i mentioned this job to her, hopefully she’ll stay for a while… i’d totally miss having her around so much! ha.. so random, i am. these guys next door are great. it’s los vaqueros, this small mexican food chain in oklahoma. it’s good food (spicy, yummy fajitas!) and really fun to hang out there. everyone in our store has become friends with them. (discounts, baby!) 

wow, i just made up my mind. i’m officially chronicling what it’s like to work at a dry cleaners. we get a surprising amount of weirdness and drama… might as well share it with the world! (and i havn’t seen a blog about a girl working at a dry cleaners, yet!) so that’s official! yatta~

i guess i’ll end this post, it’s mostly drabble anyways.
